Zinsser Bulls Eye SealCoat is a 100% dewaxed, shellac-based sanding sealer. Because it contains no wax, Zinsser rates it compatible with all clear finishes, including oil-based and water-based polyurethane, lacquer and shellac, and suitable for sealing all interior wood, including floors. Zinsser says it dries in minutes and can be sanded and recoated quickly. The 5-gallon size suits larger floor jobs.

Yes. Zinsser SealCoat is 100% dewaxed shellac, and Zinsser lists it as compatible with all clear finishes, including water-based and oil-based polyurethane, lacquer and shellac.
Can Zinsser SealCoat be used on hardwood floors?
Yes. Zinsser says SealCoat is suitable for sealing all interior wood, including floors. Sand the floor properly, remove all dust, and avoid over-applying or over-brushing.
