Zinsser Bulls Eye Shellac is a traditional, fast-drying shellac finish and sealer for interior woodwork, trim, paneling, cabinets and furniture. Clear shellac dries transparent with a faint golden cast, and Zinsser says it does not darken or yellow with age. It is not recommended as a sealer under polyurethane.

No. Zinsser states that Bulls Eye Shellac is not recommended as a sealer under polyurethane. For a sealer under oil- or water-based polyurethane, Zinsser makes SealCoat Universal Sanding Sealer, a 100% dewaxed shellac.

Zinsser Bulls Eye Shellac dries to the touch in 30 minutes and can be recoated in less than 1 hour at about 70°F and 50% humidity.
