NDM Floors Distributor carries Color Putty Ebony at our three stores: Stockbridge, GA (south metro Atlanta, 470-507-0711), Marietta, GA (north metro Atlanta, 770-627-4313) and Brentwood, TN (Nashville area, 629-216-1555). Stock varies by store, so call ahead to confirm availability and get a quote.
When do I apply Color Putty, before or after stain?
Color Putty goes on after the wood is stained or sealed with an oil-based product. Fill the holes, wipe clean, then apply one finish coat of oil-based sealer or varnish.
Can Color Putty be used on hardwood floors?
U-C Coatings, the maker of Color Putty, says its oil-based putty is not recommended for table tops or floors. For filling cracks and holes across a floor, a wood floor filler such as Woodwise Full-Trowel Filler is made for that job.
Can Color Putty colors be mixed?
Yes. Oil-based Color Putty colors can be blended together, so Ebony can be mixed with other colors for a custom match. Test the blend on a sample first.
