Bona R540 is a one-component, roll-on moisture membrane that works as a primer, vapor retarder or damp-proofer under wood flooring. It helps protect glue-down and nail-down installations from the subfloor moisture that causes cupping, and it contains zero VOC.

• VOC: 0 g/L
• Coverage per coat: 400–600 sq ft as a primer; 300–400 sq ft as a vapor retarder on wood; about 400 sq ft as a moisture barrier on concrete
• Coats on concrete: 2 coats for most installations (1 coat allowed only with a 1250G or 1500G trowel and a Bona Silane adhesive)
• Moisture limits: Concrete up to 95% RH or 18 lbs/1,000 sq ft/24 h; wood subfloors up to 20% MC
• Dry / cure: Dry in 1–16 hours; cured in 24 hours
• Compatible adhesives: Bona R851, R850T, R859 and Bona Silane adhesives
