RED · PAD

A red 4" x 6" applicator pad for applying Rubio Monocoat oils. Its synthetic fibers absorb less than a rag, so less oil is wasted. Which Rubio Monocoat pad should I use to apply Oil Plus 2C?

Rubio Monocoat recommends a non-abrasive white or red applicator pad to work Oil Plus 2C into the wood. Red pads also help knock down raised grain after Fumed, Pre-Aging or water popping.

Why use a red Rubio Monocoat pad after Fumed or Pre-Aging?

Fumed, Pre-Aging and water popping raise the wood grain. Rubio Monocoat says its red applicator pad helps knock down some of that grain raise while you apply the oil.
