Norton Red Heat H955 paper discs are made for hand-held floor edgers. They combine 100% ceramic alumina grain, which Norton describes as its fastest cutting with the cleanest scratch pattern, with a stiff F-weight paper backing that resists tearing and snagging. 24 grit is a very coarse grit for the heaviest removal: thick or gummy old finishes, paint, and badly cupped or uneven floors.
