Norton MeshPower discs put ceramic alumina grain on an open mesh (net) backing made of thousands of tiny holes, so dust pulls through the whole disc on a vacuum-equipped sander and there is no hole pattern to line up. Norton’s No-Fil technology helps keep the disc from clogging. Norton recommends MeshPower for random orbital sanding on stair treads and for blending edger scratches. 220 grit is a fine grit for final smoothing and light sanding between coats.
